Wing Tai Restaurant sits above the Wing Yip supermarket in Cricklewood, bringing proper Hong Kong–style dim sum to North London without the trek to Chinatown. The space runs traditional — think 1990s Hong Kong dining hall, with highchairs available and buggy-friendly access via a large underground car park. Sunday dim sum draws the crowds (arrive at 11am or after 1pm to dodge the queue), and the kitchen turns out fresh-to-order baskets: regulars rave about the deep-fried prawn spring rolls, steamed bean curd roll, and sui mai. "The Cantonese roast duck, crispy skin and the meat are still very juicy," notes one fan, available in whole, half, or small portions. For mains, reviewers praise the Chinese-style beef fillet, char siu, and Yin Yang fried rice. One family of five left "very full tummy" for £108. Tea comes per person with hot-water refills.
